It’s an important topic in the workplace: Mental Health. Evolving technology comes into the market at a fast pace. E-mental health can include online support groups, forums, social networks, mobile phone apps, online assessment and diagnostic tools, therapeutic gaming programs, and virtual reality systems.
Recently, the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) launched the e-Mental Health Implementation Toolkit as a resource for mental health professionals. The digital health technologies are an effective option to provide rapid access to mental health care. The toolkit was a joint effort of the Centre for Research in Family Health, IWK Health Centre and the MHCC, in consultation with key stakeholders.
The MHCC is also announcing an e-mental health implementation workshop to be held in March 2019. The workshop will teach mental health professionals and leaders in the field, the best practices to implement e-mental health approaches. More information to be posted soon.
