PSNM would like to congratulate Daniel Fontaine, CEO of BC Care Providers Association, and Chair of the Canadian Association for Long Term Care (CALTC), for his appointment to the federal Ministerial Advisory Board on Dementia led by Minister of Health, Hon. Ginette Petitpas Taylor.
“It is an honour to join this council of experts and to advise Minister Petitpas Taylor on matters related to the health of Canadians living with dementia,” says Fontaine.
Kicking off its activities at the Government of Canada’s National Dementia Conference this week, the Board will provide evidence and experience-based advice to the Minister of Health, challenge current assumptions and suggest new approaches to improve the lives of person’s living with dementia.
Fontaine will be conducting meetings with federal government officials on matters pertaining to the delivery of seniors’ care in B.C.
